Plant notes

Specimen labels often contain field notes about the plant itself growning in the field.

These might include details of such things as:

• The size and growth form of the plant
• Flower and fruit colours, textures, and odours
• Bark colours, odours, textures, exudates
• Dimensions of oversize leaves, fronds and inflorescences
• Three-dimensional arrangement of leaves, inflorescence, flowers
• Anything tht might not be visible in the dried herbarium specimen
• etc.
