Education Programs at the Gardens

Education Services offers programs for Preschool to year 12. We offer a range of fun and engaging activities relating to our biggest feature, our display of one-third of Australia’s Native Plants, as well as Environmental Science.

Tertiary education is undertaken through the Centre for Plant Biodiversity Research and the Australian National Herbarium in the form of Botanical Internships and graduate student supervision.

The Gardens Classroom

  • Preschool to Year 12

  • $4 for Preschool – Year 1, half day

  • $5.50 for Year 2 – Year 12, full school day, 75 students max.

  • Join us for an engaging, ‘hands-on’ indoor/outdoor learning adventure!

  • Fully or partly facilitated by our Education staff

Botanical Expeditions

  • Years 4 - 12

  • $4 per student - max 50 students per one-hour session.

  • Join our experienced Guides on a Botanical Expedition in small groups of 10 – 12 students.

  • Choose from a range of themed expeditions.

Twilight Forest Adventure
