Bigelow 325 [lectotype, designated here:  OXF (MEXU photo); isolectotypes:  NY, US]; [paralectotype:  Texas, C. Wright 179].  NOTE:  This species is probably a hybrid of Acacia berlandieri and Acacia greggii according to Johnston (1974) and Glass (2003).  Because Britton and Rose (1928) listed the type locality as Socale Creek, Texas, we selected that specimen as the lectotype.
